Whole 30 Week 1 Recap

Hey guys!

We are one week into January and Christmas break is over for me.  Tomorrow second semester starts, and I started getting anxious about it on Thursday.  I feel like this week went so quickly, and it’s tough thinking about all the work ahead of me this semester. Working against senioritis is no easy feat.

Thursday night all the sudden I felt that heavy feeling in my chest I know all too well. Tim was sweet trying to make me laugh.  As we put on a Modern Family rerun, I practiced my slow deep breathes and eventually calmed down.

Let’s talk food.

Week one of Whole 30 went well. It’s been nice being off work to prepare meals and take my time. I often go in phases with my meals, and I’ve been loving oatless oats for breakfasts. I also made shredded chicken in bulk so as to always have a protein ready to go.  Then I focused on eating the rainbow. The prettier the plate, the better it tastes- right?  I mean…chocolate is pretty in my opinion 🙂
