I have a sweet and salty treat for today’s fun food find. Trader Joe’s just gets me every time. My eyes are instantly drawn to the new items every week, and I feel this internal struggle between not wanting to spend extra money and the fear that it might be gone next time I’m here. I almost always error on the side of caution and put it directly in my cart just to be safe.
Last week at Trader Joe’s a small bag caught my attention: Coconut Sesame Seed Clusters
With a short ingredients list and good nutritionals I was sold. I was a solid two steps in the door when I opened the bag to taste these coconut bites. At first, I was caught off guard. I was expecting more of a cracker taste with the sesame seeds, but these are different. They are simple, salty, and sweet all at the same time. It’s different, but different in a good way. I really like them, and with every bite after the initial the taste continued to grow on me.
This bag did not last long in my house. If I’m fortunate enough to see them again next time I’m at the store, I’ll grab them. I think they would make an excellent topping for ice cream or even in salads for an extra crunch.
Last but not least, they are even husband approved. Despite his hesitancy with all my healthy food, Tim really enjoyed these too.
Would I recommend them: YES!
