July Goal

July Goal

Happy July! This is one of my favorite months. I feel like everyone makes a huge effort to get outside and enjoy the weather in the heart of summer.  Bring on all the barbecues, sunshine, grilling, and flip flops.  I’m also super excited to celebrate the 4th with friends this week.  It’s such a fun and laid back holiday to enjoy good food and company of friends. Plus, my husband has an obscene amount of USA clothes that get put to good use.

While there’s so much to look forward to this month, the start of July means yet another goal to focus on.  This month I want to get creative. Part of the reason I started this blog and INSTAGRAM was because I felt a little stiffened at work when teaching historically allowed me to be extremely creative and flexible.

January –whole 30

February – Gratitude Journal at night

March– Read The Gratitude Diaries by Janice Kaplan

April- 5 minutes of meditation each day

May– Compliment someone different every day

June– Buy a month of yoga at a new studio

July- Tap into creativity (new fitness classes, art, Zumba, kareokee, games, nature, etc)

August– Treat yourself month (bath, nails, compliments, me date, take a nap, massage, Bravo, etc)

September– Smile first thing in the morning and last thing before bed

October– 30 things I love about myself (I turn the big 3-0 this month-gulp)

November-No negative talk November (myself, others, work, etc)

Tapping into my creativity can mean a lot of things.  I can be more creative with my cooking; I can try new fitness classes at the gym; who knows, maybe I’ll take a pottery class.  This should be a fun one! Hope everyone gets a chance to do something different this month as well.
