Love for Farmer’s Markets

Happy Monday friends!

We had a fun weekend here. On Saturday we went to the taste of Arlington in Arlington Heights for tons of food and music. The band we saw, School of Rock, was awesome. However, with the insanely hot temperatures that day, I didn’t last too long.

Sunday, I went to my friend Brittany’s baby shower at a Greek restaurant. And I’ve decided she’s my hero. She asked that no one bring wrapped gifts. Wahoo!! I’m totally stealing that idea for my shower one day. It was beautiful all the same.

For this week’s post I thought I would share one of my favorite parts of summer- Farmer’s Markets.  Next to the train station in my town every Saturday from May to October, farmers come for 5 hours to sell what they have from the week.  My Instagram stories are often filled with me walking through our local farmer’s market and admiring the atmosphere.  While week to week it doesn’t change too much, I still find it so fun and exciting. If I miss out one Saturday, I have extreme FOMO.

This year, our market added a taco and tamale stand. And oh my goodness. I know tacos at 8am might sound crazy, they are worth every bite. They also have mango on a stick! A new favorite of mine

Now I have a new way to efficiently eat mangoes!

Currently there are tons of berries being sold. I’m a sucker for a basket of blueberries just about every week.

Although I adore summer (who doesn’t?) Fall foods are so comforting as well.  Pretty soon sweet potatoes, squash, and pumpkins will be everywhere. I’m just a basic B when it comes to pumpkin every year.

Have a great week!
